Cmon 1.8 grams that's .063493 oz. Pulled him for not signaling turn. Noticed his hands were shaking. Cmon who dimed the dude. Musta been a hoochie. Maybe his, maybe the cops, maybe both.
intent for 1.8 grams? sounds like personal use/share with friends to me... our drug laws are archaic and useless. except to ruin someone's life. legalize, regulate, and tax, tax, tax 'em. this will eliminate the "black market", get the thugs off our streets, reduce addict-related crimes(drug costs will plummet), shrink prison populations, and increase our tax revenue. prohibition didn't work against alcohol and it isn't working now against drugs.
I don't necessarily agree with the use of such drugs, but I do agree that the present system does not and cannot work! The idea of controlled legalization makes a lot of sense. If legalized the street dealer and thug is neutralized and will soon disappear, taxes are collected on a presently tax free market, users are publicly known, and related crime will decrease due to lower prices of the drugs. Police officers are freed up to deal with more serious crimes, and fewer police officers are required. I have been to Amsterdam where all such things are legal, and the crime rate there is minimal.
I do not agree. How can you give in to these drug addicts? Would you want one working for you, with you, or around your children when they are high because it's "legal"? I think not. I know I wouldn't. This is rediculous. I hate drugs.
just as with alcohol, if someone uses on the job, or if their after-hours use results in excessive absenteeism or poor job performance, can 'em.
