The low country was jumping this weekend. Lightning strikes were everywhere. Good thing you folks in Beaufort are pretty smart about this frequent summertime hazard.

We were one of those 'die-hard' boaters that were anchored in front of Waterfront Park to watch the fireworks Fridy evening. It appeared the storm was going to move to the east, but at the last minute, it did come straight for town. We barely made it back to the dock. The thunder and lightening came in fast and furious. It was probably as scared as I have been on the boat.
