HILTON HEAD ISLAND -- Beaufort East coach Wheatley Alford said a discussion prior to the bottom of the fourth inning centered on avoiding the 10-runmercy rule against the Hilton Head National all-star team -- something no team had done in the Nationals' previous four games of the Dixie Youth AAA Minor District 8 Tournament. I'm so proud of this team! Their bats were hot, the pitcher was cool, and the catcher was right on. They may not have won the game, but they are winners! Beaufort East rules!
