In a press release Wednesday, Gov. Mark Sanford criticized state Sen. Catherine Ceips for abstaining from a "key vote" Tuesday for restructuring state government, called on her constituents to pipe up in favor of the effort and threw in a jab referencing her early departure from a Lady's Island campaign event. Dear Mr. Leslie,
Will you please explain how Mr. Governor Bill Sanford can possibly be complaining about "accountability" in government; when he just let his brother-in-law, Mr. Mayor Rauch completely off the hook?
And, I believe Mr. Governor Sanford recently signed a bill allowing 18-year-old children to purchase pistols.......this seems quite stupid........I (formerly) supposed that the Governor was intelligent, but I will admit it when I am wrong.
Will you please report on this issue and will you question Mr. Sanford's groomsman, Mr. Thomas Davis, as to whether he supports the children's-right-to-buy-handgun law? As Chief of Staff or Sanford Spokesperson or Whatever, Mr. Davis may have done quite a bit of thrusting to get that one through.
There does not appear to be too much "accountability" in South Carolina government under Mr. Governor Sanford's watch, what with Highway Patrolmen assaulting citizens and even trying to run them over in state-owned vehicles......incredible. Thank goodness the commander, Col. Rourk and the administrator, Mr. Secretary Schweitzer have resigned.......
Mr. Governor Sanford, if Mr. Leslie will not respond, will you have the courtesy to do so? How about you, Mr. Davis?
Thank you.
Karl
Mr. Governor Bill Sanford, huh? Enough said.
