The Beaufort County Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. today at Okatie Elementary School to discuss the school district's budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1. Read the story here.
This sounds like an important meeting. Why has the date, place, and time of the next school board meeting been changed from next Tuesday's regularly scheduled meeting to today at Okatie? Is this meeting open to the public? Am I asking questions that should not be asked or considered?
Will the May 20 meeting be held?
Today's meeting was a "special" meeting scheduled to discuss the budget and other items. It will not replace Tuesday's meeting as far as I know.
