Democrats fight against energy independence

George Bush, the oilman, has the oil prices way up so his oil company friends can make huge profits. Read the story here.

Other countries are drilling off our shores and exploring for oil. However, because of Democrats and RINO Republicans who have no spines we can't drill off our own shores or in our own states. We are creating our own problems and future demise. The rest of the world is just laughing at us and shaking their heads while drilling our oil off our coasts. They can't believe that we are so stupid. Thanks Democrats and RINO's.

If you read the communist plank for America, their spacific intent is to wreck the economy here, then bring in their own "success story". Blocking drilling and refineries is right on in their thinking. They have pushed unions, spacifically the auto unions to destroy the auto industry, attacked any form of power production including coal, nuclear, and hydro, wind turbines are in their sights now. They are after the tobacco industry in a big way along with the logging/lumber industry. And don't forget the cattle industry, yes they are after that too. There is no doubt to their intent and this is a good reason to make them walk the plank to one of their non existant success stories.

Energy Independence doesn't mean our own oil, it means no oil. I don't want to drill more holes in the gulf and I certainly don't want to destroy half of Alaska just to get more oil. I want to keep paying these high prices so we get off oil and develop real sustainable alternatives. Oil is dead. Let it go. If you're tired of high gas prices vote for Obama in November. Prices will drop substantially when we're not in Iraq- plus we'll save all that money by not having to fund the war.

Getting off oil for energy/power is not a bad goal. But making the public pay penalties in high gas prices will destroy our economy before a viable alternative is found...mainly because liberals poo-poo every new idea that comes across the the blueprint table.

BTW, your apparent lack of oilfield knowledge screams its existence in your post.

So please tell the rest of us how Obama will perform a miracle and get us off oil. He has to wait on congress to make any changes in laws. And what will those laws be? All he has now are a pocketful of promises for change without being specific. Only the scientists, engineers and creative inventors will change our energy sources. And all Obama can do as a politician is to make promises and hope enough people will believe him to get elected. Even Hilliary and McCain have better sense than to make vaporous promises like that.

Also tell us how pulling US troops out of Iraq will bring the price of oil down. This ought to be a fantasy land adventure story. Or maybe a good comedy story. We need a laugh on this Friday. We are all waiting.

Here they go again maligning oil as the root of all evil. Everything, and I mean everything runs on oil. We have enough oil in this earth to sustain us for the next 40 years, and enough in this country alone to sustain us until an economically viable replacement makes it to the market place, but somebody has to come out with blanket statements like "Oil is dead" or claim that we will destroy half of Alaska or the gulf if we drill for oil as his only points and we should believe him. I wonder if he even knows which gulf it is. People are and have been working on alternative fuels for many years now, but nothing comes even close to fosil fuels, or at least nothing that environmentalists would approve.
Unlike our friend "thisnameisfake" I do want gas prices to drop. That way, I can use the extra money to buy a new Suburban with seating for eight and enough room for our luggage, a cooler full of food and even our dog, because if I wanted to drive a Peugeot, Renault or Fiat shoebox, I'd move to France. I also would use the extra money for a quad cab Dodge Ram with the 5.6 liter...or is it 5.8...engine so I can pull my three outboard engine 30' boat, and with the leftovers buy a convertible Mustang GT to drive on Sundays to church...that's right...I said church.
Environmentalist are the ones to blame for our high gas prices. They have for over 20 years prevented from drilling and refining our own oil, all because of nuts like Al Gore and their Global Warming claims.

When is the last time that Obama drilled for, refined or did anything related to oil? No politician by sticking his nose into something will ever make it better. See social security, our school system, the post office or the DMV for starters...all smooth running thanks to our government...No thanks. What they can do is get out of the way and let the market do its job.
I have enough faith in the American people that they won’t fall for the same old lines in a different package. The bloom is off the rose with your boy Obama. By now, everybody with a brain should know that he’s just another politician full of empty slogans and platitudes who will throw anyone under the bus, including his own grandmother and his pastor, if it’s politically convenient. He used to claim that the good reverend’s sermons inspired him. He was married by him and his children were baptized by him, but not once in twenty years of attending his church he heard any of the many crazy sermons. He’s either one of those people who only go to church to get married and funerals and baptisms so he can claim to be religious, or he’s too naive to not have noticed in twenty years that his mentor was a nut, and that’s even scarier, and he has the answer to our oil crisis? PAAAAALEZE
There's nothing new or great about your boy Obama. He either agrees with his racist, separatist pastor and other shady acquaintances such as Bill Ayers, self proclaimed and unrepented domestic terrorist, slum lord Tony Resco, etc. or simply associated with them to gain street cred and advance his career. Either way, nothing new here. It just sounds like the very same politician we have seen for years and years now.
What else is new about him?…let’s see…oh yeah. He wants to raise taxes on the rich to pay for free health care and free college for everybody. New ideas? I believe copied almost verbatim from Monica’s exboyfriend’s wife, but originally found somewhere in some communist manifesto from way back in Marx’s or Lenin’s or Stalin’s days. It goes something like this “from each according to his ability, to each according to his need”. In other words, take from those who work and fight and have gotten ahead by busting their tails to get ahead and give to those who haven’t because it isn’t fair that all don’t have success. Obama himself has said we need to make taxes more fair...his kind of fair...that is. It worked like a charm in the old USSR, and it works even better in Cuba, South Korea and China now. I am currently on the waiting list to get a visa to either one of those three countries, but the list is soooo long I may never get there. I guess I’m stuck here.
He wants to cut and run in Iraq, and talk to the terrorists. New concept? Sounds like good old Jimmy Carter way in the seventies or more recently Senator Carey…no, not Jim Carey the actor. He’s actually funny. The Senator was just a joke. I guess begging for oil to our enemies better work if we elect Obama.
No new drilling for our own oil…hmmm…that’s the entire democrat party for twenty years now, no time to name them all here.
And what legislature of any significance has he introduced in the senate since he has been there? I’m still waiting for a good answer on that one. Maybe he hasn’t had time since he has spent most of his time in the senate running for president. I'm tired of these senators who run for president claiming to have the answers, but will not introduce them until they become president. Remeber Senator Carey? Where are his answers now. If they had any merit, he'd introduce them as senate bills and they would pass.
Maybe we should elect Obama because he was a community activist back in the days in Chicago. What exactly does that mean anyways? I believe if I picket in front of my daughter’s school because they’re brainwashing her with global warming I will become a community activist too if I can get one more person to join me. Maybe I can run for president next and then I can solve our oil problems.
I know. We should elect him because he elevated himself from the slums of private schools in Indonesia (I might have the country wrong) or the struggles of Harvard Law School, or was it Yale Law? Oh yeah, he’s one of us, that Obama. He’s down with the struggle.
If that’s not enough, here’s one question…Has he outlined any specific plans? I haven’t heard any, but maybe I wasn’t paying attention because I just don’t pay attention to politics.
I am also very frustrated with the Bush administration and demand CHANGE. Since Bush took over, my business has really struggled to survive and only managed to double its profits, the value of my home only doubled, even with the recent down market, my retirement plan only has grown at a measly 10% a year rate, and I have a hard time sleeping at night for fear of a plane crashing into another American city.
Since times are so hard and gas is so high, should we share a ride to the welfare office together? What shall we drive? My Hummer or my Beemer?
Before I get accused of drinking the McCain Kool-Aid, I’m not a great fan. I opposed his campaign finance reform debacle, the gang of 14 affiliation, his pro illegal immigration stance, his opposition to making the tax cuts permamnent, his global warming leanings in order to gain favor with the independants, and his refusal to hit Obama or Hillary hard in the mouth with the truth. But I’ll take him any day of the week over your boy Obama.

I agree, Stoney definitely has it together, in my opinion.

Here's a video on Obama that I received in an email the other day - It might rock everybody's boat:
