Davis picks up endorsement

The S.C. Club for Growth, an organization that calls itself the leading fiscal conservative advocacy group in the state, has endorsed Tom Davis for Senate District 46. Read the story here.

Along with the ironically named South Carolinians for Responsible Government, another non-profit group this cycle will be working the state getting nutjobs elected, Reform SC. Reform SC is Gov. Mark Sanford’s new toy, and chaired by Chad Walldorf, who is also the head of S.C. Club for Growth. The two organizations also apparently share more than just their chairman.

You would have found something funny if you went down to the State Ethics Commission and asked for S.C. Club for Growth’s fourth quarter report for 2007. Tacked to it, unknown to the staff at the SEC, was Reform SC’s fourth quarter report. Not just one report, but three copies of it.

What is the disclosure report of a 501(c)4 doing stapled to the report from a PAC? One thing is for certain – any doubts that these groups aren’t joined at the hip are totally dispelled.

Now, we don’t know if there will be any actions by the SEC involving these two organizations, but we do know this – the entire stapled package is being audited on Monday. And, S.C. Club for Growth has already run afoul of the rules, being fined $100 last year for being tardy on getting in its report from the first quarter.

In case you were wondering, S.C. Club for Growth had a grand total of 14 contributors for the fourth quarter, including five couples. The haul – $43,500. Locations – Spartanburg, Greenville, Sullivan’s Island, Charleston, Boca Raton and Kiawah Island.

Reform SC had a much bigger draw, and the non-profit aspect must have been a selling point. The organization took in $320,680.51, ending up with $525,080.47 on hand to go into ‘08. One of the biggest contributors was Charleston developer Anthony McAlister, using his network of LLCs to give $21,000. Walldorf also chipped in $10,500 between his personal account and two LLCs.

There’s only a few weeks left until the June primaries, so the tap should be flowing pretty soon.

Hooking up with another married politician the old fashoned way. Top or Bottom with Wallace. This home wrecker has many issues including the fact that she is not getting any local or real endorsements. Who would?

Marianne Scarborough has requested that this subject be left alone. If you have no compassion for anyone else, perhaps you might try to find some for her! You're coming off as a real lowlife!

Come on ...... If she just does the right thing for once this will all end.

She is the cause of all the pain this family is suffering. It is painfully obvious that Ceips is morally bankrupt.

She even had this affair while her own husband was clinging to life. Two married adult publicly elected people having an affair. Cieps does not have any values.

BLAME AND SHAME ON CEIPS.

THIS IS ALL PUBLIC NOW (MOSTLY)

Does your ignorance run all the way to not being able to read? The former Mrs. Scarborough has asked that this topic not be discussed! Nothing was ever proven and Mrs. Scarborough has asked that it be left alone. That means you too! Everyone has already heard it all it's nothing new, and it has no value. Have a little respect!

Posted by topgunscooter - Sun, 2008-05-04 16:46

The former Mrs. Scarborough is the one who named Ceips in the suit. This is not news to her. Ask her what she thinkds of Ceips and the “Sanctity of Marriage”

Ceips destroyed her marriage.

Keep writing and I will too.

You aren't writing, you're displaying your ever increasing level of ignorance and lack of consideration. Mrs. Scarborough requested on THIS blog last year that this subject be dropped! Her wishes should be respected!

...That sounds like a threat.

BTW, How much are you being paid by Tom Davis's campaign?

You're on a freakin' mission and it's very obvious that you are all about politics, nothing more.

Remember what I said about the "spin doctor", well, I failed to mention Davis's spin doctor cronies.

dratsagain you have now pushed yourself into the spin doctor crony category.

Tom "dratsagain" Davis and his pea brain cronies.

That sounds like you could name a rock band that!

Tom "dratsagain" Davis and his pea brain cronies. It has a nice ring to it.

Oops double post

...in Cieps personal life is really her business to a certain degree.

While, I do not and would not condone alleged irresponsible personal behavior however, the issues are somewhat personal and of a private nature.

Now, contrast that with Tom Davis, the problem with the "Spin Doctor" is what he has done in his PUBLIC life and the decisions that he has made that effect the lives of all the citizens in the State of South Caolina.

Quite frankly, Davis is a "master" at spinning and he is a master at cover-up, most notably for Sanfraud.

I couldn't possibly vote for someone that misrepresents the facts to the public over and over and over again.

You, drats, obviously have a political agenda and it's so obvious. However, pounding the table over and over about Cieps alleged affair will not change the ugly pig that Davis has become.

You can try to put lipstick on a pig and pretty him up a bit, but he's still a pig.

This is classic Rod Shealey.

Has anyone else noticed that Bates and Shealey have not reported seeing and more illegal aliens. Catherine Ceips must have cured that problem all by herself. I have not seen any either (wink wink)

Indentured servant (finally figured out the Randy Bates Thing)

An indentured servant is a laborer under contract of the employer for some period of time, usually three to seven years, in exchange for such things as ship's passage, food, land and "accommodations".

Drats,
Do you have an original thought? Do you have anything to say that has not previously been asked and answered? If you insist on coming here with your drivel, at least bring some game!

Posted by dratsagain - Sun, 2008-05-04 16:44

The voting public has had all of this crap in their faces for quite a while now, and it hasn't been believable yet or had any impact on any election. Fitsnews publishing it makes it very suspect. If they published it, there is little doubt that it is not a FACT! fitsnews is owned by a political handler whose words back only those he gets paid by. fitsnews is not a credible source!!!! And, who are you to decide what the voting public "has" to see when it involves an innocent lady who has asked that it not be discussed!
You need a life! Well, maybe not, somebody might step on someone so small!

At least he is not married but then again who knows anything about him. She should have been working on our school money instead of playing with her boy toys.

Posted by dratsagain - Sun, 2008-05-04 17:07

that is the porno site run by a guy who beat up a woman and pled guilty to that CRIME. Isnt that woman abuser also on the payroll of attorney Davis? And didn't that guy work for the governordeveloper also?

What's that old saying - "birds of a feather flock together"

That's about as an objective as a "source" as oh say the Beaufort Gazette.

Posted by Abracadabra - Sun, 2008-05-04 17:14

Unlike the governordeveloper I would not be able to count on one hand (unless I am a swamp creture with oh say twenty or so digits) where that list would lead.

People in glass houses ought not throw stones, especially the likes of a bar hopping, skirt chasing, porno-political site affiliated attorney that has changed jobs more than a baby has changed diapers.

By the way dratsagain, is that really a Christian tack to take, especially on a Sunday?

Posted by Abracadabra - Sun, 2008-05-04 17:10

CHEERLEADER-SENATOR COULD BE IN TROUBLE.

In fact, she’s anything but, sponsoring ridiculous legislation and recently earning the third-worst pro-business rating of any Republican member of the House. And unlike truly powerful female legislators (such as those mentioned earlier), she’s always the first to play the “gender card” whenever somebody says something about her she doesn’t like.

She plays more than the gender card.

Posted by dratsagain - Sun, 2008-05-04 17:16

Is that your A game?

Is that Attorney Davis' reason to run for office? Because in your mind and his he believes some story from someone elses divorce (like that is the first time someone ever told a tale in a divorce case).

Get a life.

Posted by Abracadabra - Sun, 2008-05-04 17:19

...name SPIN DOCTOR DAVIS'S LOCAL ENDORSEMENTS.

And, BTW, I not talking about Sanfraud.

Names please.

Posted by _undercoverbrother - Sun, 2008-05-04 16:20

Yes Drats, please do!

Posted by topgunscooter - Sun, 2008-05-04 16:28

From what I can tell Attorney Davis is in the pocket of big developers.

And where is the big story from the Gazette on Attorney Davis being in the pocket of developers and special interests? This club for growth group there not from Beaufort are they? So now we have developers and outsiders trying to tell us who to vote for.

So much for Home Rule.

Posted by Abracadabra - Sun, 2008-05-04 17:06

Ceips & Distant Island development company? They developed a perfectly natural maritime forested island and sent her some $. George Trask.

Now the upstate lawyers are sending her $ because she is against tort reform.

keep it coming..

Posted by dratsagain - Sun, 2008-05-04 17:12

Blueberry or rasperry?

Tell me more about this George Trask guy, you seem to know so much.

Posted by Abracadabra - Sun, 2008-05-04 17:17

Don't you mean that liberal John Trask that gave lots of money to Attorney Davis? Isnt he a developer? Didnt he destroy that tree that I was hugging on in the middle of the night.

Posted by Abracadabra - Sun, 2008-05-04 17:21

thats about the stuff that comes out of dratsagain.

It is stinky and putrid and it figures that someone like that would be shilling for Attorney Davis.

Posted by Abracadabra - Sun, 2008-05-04 17:29

I believe that George Trask is the publisher of the Beaufort Tribune and isn't involved in the ancestral pillaging of Beaufort.

Posted by topgunscooter - Sun, 2008-05-04 18:49

...How about the "Spindoctor" Davis spinning Sanfraud's misdeeds.

Go back and read his press releases that Davis wrote. They are such a scam.

Read all the press releases and articles relating to Sanfraud.

Davis's boss was able to accomplish the following: the Port Royal debacle, the Worker's Comp Debacle, the Bindon-Yemessee Annexation Debacle, the Land Bank Debacle, the State Trooper Debacle, the SCDOT Debacle, SLED, The SC Good Ole boys Club for Growth, The SC Good Ole Reform Club, and all of the corrupt campaign contributions and the list goes on and on and on.

Keep it coming! There is enough garbage on Davis and Sanfraud to last a lifetime.

Tom "dratsagain" Davis and his pea brain cronies. Rock on drats! Bring it on.

Posted by _undercoverbrother - Sun, 2008-05-04 17:43

You are finally posting under a request that was made of you. And here you are with more nonsense. Respond to the request....name all of those civic leaders and law enforcement folks who have endorsed Davis. Can you? Or can you only spread your foul feces around here! Be constructive or leave!

This entire county was once a perfectly natural maritime forested chain of islands! What's your point, developers have been raping the area for centuries. Along with their real estate attorneys!
