Hillary's 'face'

That face ALONE will lose her 10 million votes among men and women over 60 . . . that pissy little, holier than thou I'm smarter and better than you face - oh man. The Republicans should do an ad - 30 seconds long - of nothing but that little superior smirk on her face - over and over again. With the voiceover - "Hillary Clinton, she know more than you, thinks you cannot make the proper decision for your family, and knows she knows it all.

I have always believed she is just in politics for her own personal power trip and agenda. She and Bill are such a pair!
Why?
I have yet to get a response.
In fact I may start campaigning for her and Obama and Edwards.
Why?
Well certainly not because I like all their plans.
But as a one man vote as a protest to the outright lies and preposterous allegations made towards them here and in other venues.
For a long time it has become evident that those on the right have lost their ability to adequately present their cause on merit. Now whether that's due to them not really having a cause, lacking conviction, or just being really dumb, well, I don't know. But for now the neo-con "debate" centers around haircuts, fashion, looks, race(ism), and a lot of hogwash. Reminds me of the old southernism, "a hurt dog howls".
Every time I read about how ugly Hillary is, or how radical Obama is, or how slick and hypocritical Edwards is, I think, the people making these statements may just be having some fun, but there are some who consider these things truthful and relevant to their choice of candidates.
To them I say "I'll vote for Hillary just to pizz you off".
I'll probably vote for her for several reasons:
1. See adracer1 response. Same for me: just to irritate all those folks who are spreading lies. So what if she occasionally sneers at someone? (Perhaps that only qualifies her for Vice President).
2. She's the most qualified of the remaining viable candidates. I like Obama as a person and for his vision, but I have a nagging fear that he could be Jimmy Carter redux. The most qualified person is not running.
3. Regardless of her personality, she seems to me to be the one person who can make the hard choices to help the country recover from the last seven years of the current administration's disastrous blunders. She can start to restore America's standing in the world (which will likely take several presidential terms to do) without compromising security.
I won't get my chance to vote until March 4. Until then, I'll be watching what happens in SC and on Super Tuesday.
buckeye, you are right... She's the one with the most grasp and a$$ to get us out of this mess. I like John edwards, but if a president had 10 years off the rip, he'd still have a hard time revamping the system like he'd like to. But don't get me wrong, he's got good heart.. One of the best in the election.
We'll find out more and more as election date gets closer...
You want someone nice or someone tough to be our next President?
The only reason people are so vocal about Hillary's voice, "smirk", looks, etc. is that she is a woman and she reminds everyone of their mother. Remember your mother's voice, her face, her demeanor when you got caught doing something she disapproved of? That's why people don't like Hillary - they are scared of their mommies.
I for one believe Hillary can handle the tough business that comes the way of the President of the United States.
This is a woman who stood up for keeping her family together in the toughest and most despairing of times - no matter what people said about her. That's family values - for better or worse.
Hillary has been a great Senator for NY. I've met her several times - she's a wonderfully warm and genuine person.
You are COMPLETELY WRONG when you say Hillary reminds us of our mothers! No way! That comment of yours is an insult to all the decent, good mothers of this world who are tough in the following of standards for their children. They are also tough on what they expect to be good, decent behavior on the part of their children's father.
Family values? The Clintons are worlds apart from the family values I was raised with.
You sure got that one right!
She may make expressions that look like smirks. Probably learned that in law school for the jury's sake when the opposing lawyer makes a statement. One of the facial expressions in Body Language 101.
The only smirk I feared was a teacher I had in Jr High. Her last name was Boozer and she was a lady wrestler on the side. A rumor floated that she was kicked out of the pros for dirty tricks. She picked up one bad kid with one arm and made a believer out of him and the rest of us. No problem with discipline in her classes and her smirk had meat behind the smirk. We nicknamed her "Boozer, the bruiser", but she never heard it from any of us.
So if your father cheated on your mother you would advocate divorce, right off the bat? Do you think that teaching your children that knee jerk reactions to very complex issues are right? Or perhaps our children need to see that after difficult and trying times, people can come together and work out their differences. Maybe they really do love each other. Nobody knows what goes on between couples and it really is nobody's business.
As for the children,Chelsea appears to be a lovely, bright, successful young woman dedicated to her family. Not bad.
I guess your family values do not include listening, compromising, working out differences and sticking by the vows "for better or worse".
Maybe you want a President that believes in cut and run when problems arise.
Would you be more specific ? I know she has made lots of proposals........but what has she ever actually accomplished, other than being elected to the senate, which is no big deal....Graham did it .
Got a photo of a bumper sticker that sums it all up:
"Vote for Monica Lewinsky's ex-boyfriend's wife."
!
Not my paper, but the NYT has an article endorsing McCain for the Republicans and Hilliary for the Democrats. Says that both are excellent candidates with experience and the ability to lead this nation.
Says that Giuliani was their pick for mayor, but found too many issues to criticize after election. Says Obama has promise, but is too "undefined", what ever that means. Not ready for the presidential league. Other candidates were not mentioned.
Never thought I would agree with the NYT, but they have a good point. As for me, McCain takes the race.
