Bluffton Gazette strikes again
Today's Prep Notes in the Bluffton/HH Gazette provided us sports fans with some inside tidbits on area high school football.
Let's see, they mentioned Battery Creek, Beaufort Academy, HH Prep, Ridegeland, Battery Creek again........hmmmmm somethings missing. Oh yeah they mentioned HH High...let's see someone is still missing...could it be the only 4-A school in their coverage area.....who happens to be 5-0. Yes that's the one. The one who packs the stadiums whether home or away. The Beaufort High Eagles!!! Go Eagles, keep winning and someday we'll have a hometown paper that will give you your props and deserved coverage.
ps someone should advise McClackery about the amount of ink/money they could save if they changed the name of the paper to The Gazette. Drop the Beaufort so that a true hometown paper could use the moniker.

The Gazette released a statement when the consolidated operations, that the Friday preview would be regional, NOB would be BHS,BC, BA. SOB would be the SOB schools. Well, my paper delivered to the greater Bft area was HH and more HH, no NOB school.
Next we'll have Ohio State Buckeye coverage to make the SOB Ohio mob fill at home.
And they wonder why subscriptions are down.
I assume you called or wrote the local editorial office and mentioned that omission. If not, I recommend calling. The more people who call asking for Beaufort high coverage, the more impact it will have. The exec editor and sports editor would be my choices. However Steve is on his way to a new life, so as a short timer might not have the input, so a call to the publisher might be better.
You could also email, but I suspect that email would not be as effective. I bet they get hundreds of emails a day on lots of subjects, so one or two on this subject could get lost in the inbox.
Beaufort no longer has a "hometown" radio station and now they are slowly losing their "hometown" newspaper.
a time when not listening to Uncle Billy was a felony.
