As expected anytime you have the Trojans going into Beaver stadium there's going to be fireworks.
The Beavers opened up early running hard in the middle against the Trojans. When the Trojans put more men in the box the Beaver's would go wide or dump into the flats. The Beavers went in at the half up 21-0.
The Trojans came out rested and ready in the 2nd half. Their combinations of hard running inside and long ball routes seemed like the recipe for a comebacker. The Beavers had other thoughts. Relying on their young backs on offense and their quick hard hitting defense they stayed in the game.
The Beavers stifled every Trojan rally. The Trojans simply couldn't find the secret pill that would give them the advantage. They simply were not up for the challenge. They had got behind early and could never catch up or get on top of their game.
As so often is the case the Beavers prevailed in the end, toppling the Trojans.
These same Trojans who had pummeled the Buckeyes and had entered this contest standing tall, were sent home feeling worn, discarded, and sorely beaten.

grrrr. Yes - I am an 'SC grad.
I KNEW it was gonna happen after the first series. When SC defense comes out like that - it will be a long day. When the offense comes out like that -the day just got a little longer. Having been an SC fan since HS - which was a long time ago - I turned it off at 14-0 -I knew what the end was gonna be having watched too many of these games over the years - even though the team members are different - the look and feel is exactly the same.
Ohio State gets blown out of the water all the time (no surprise there) Ohio State (biggest over rated college football team, ever).
Good game last night! It just proves that beating OS is no big deal.

Southern Cal deserved to lose and they didn't deserve to be # 1 in the polls. Southern Cal has a cupcake schedule and they don't play ANY ranked teams for the rest of the season. I agree with Sampgator, Ohio State is over rated, just like Southern Cal. Since Southern Cal lost, that means there is room for my #4 Gators to move up in the polls! Woo hoo!

With Terrell Pryor at QB and Beanie Wells back at RB, the Buckeyes have a good chance to run the table in the Big 10 and back into the BCS game again, assuming that all the other teams in front of them beat each other up (which is a pretty good bet). They may not have deserved it last year, and they may not deserve it this year, but in the end it's the win-loss totals and WHEN you lost. Polls are funny things.

"Coach Sweater-Vest" BAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!! Ad, you really caught me off guard with that one and the Annie song. (Just a little teasing going on here, Buckeye fan. It's all in good fun! Its always good to see a true fan instead of a fair weather fan.)

Best line I've heard from Tressel was after the National Championship win against Miami. Kellen Winslow Sr. asked him "what constitutes pass interference [referring to a call that saved the game for the Buckeyes], and how do I get one of those sweater vests?" Tressel's reply: "Pass interference is whatever the guys in the funny striped pants say it is, and if you go to the gym and buff up for about 6 months, I'll give you one of mine."
Those Beavers were slick now, I'm telling you for a fact. The Trojans played hard and straight up but couldn't hold up for 60 minutes. I think if the "Cocks played the Beavers they'd do much better. The Cocks wouldn't afford their QB the protection the Trojans offered but aside from that risk the home team would prevail. The Beaver's Spread against the Cocks Fun and Gun would produce a lot of scoring ops but I believe the Cocks blocking up front and their ability to sto the dive would save the day.
As yet another USC alumni (Trojans, not gamecocks) I must rail against your comment. What sort of scenario allows "cocks-blocking" when dealing with beavers?

Do the Beaver play with our Cocks ever? I thought they were in a different league and never played the Cocks? I knew that being from the left coast that they probably only kept to their own and played for that team. I had an Ex-wife like that, but thats another story.

That the DBacks have a better line this year so they're not having to pull out early for QB injuries. They've inserted a barrier between the opposition and their backfield. They've switched conferences and now play in the Kings Of TEXas league.

Yes, Ohio is always at the dance because they have a soft schedule. Check out the schedule of the SEC and you'll see the difference.
