Whats wrong with New haven

They will not let a nine year old play baseball saying he is to good? He is a normal sized kid who cad throw over 40 mph. Is everyone supose to be the same? Is that the problem? Shame on the league and the parents.

Duh. The system encourages "equality", but in reality it's just mediocrity disguised as equality. God forbid we expose the chirn to the facts of life. It's better for them when we don't keep score and everybody gets a trophy. God forbid your son has to strike out every time against the best pitcher in the league. I mean, that will only encourage him to "try harder", "take a punch and get back up", "get back on that horse", "insert your cliche here". Instead we'll let him face someone he can hit regularly so he can learn that in life hard work is for idiots because "the system" will always be there to make sure life isn't unfair to him.
P.S. I hope the political correctness police doesn't read this because I wrote "God" twice (now three times) in this comment.

I bet the parents that are crying "foul"(pun intended) would not be whining if the team their kid played for had this star athelete on their team!! Imagine, poor little Billy "can't play freely" because that Jericho Scott kid is just.. well.. too good. The League Officials say it was a decision of safety. They said the offered to let him play a different position. What if a player was a power hitter and could knock the cover off of any pitch thrown his way? Would the league ban that kid from hitting because the kid on the other other teams were not used to fielding hard hit balls?? I loved Jericho's remark at the end of the video I saw on MSNBC. He said he did't care because he was out there to have fun not win every little game!! Great kid Mr. & Mrs. Scott. You seem to be instilling true sportsmanship in your son.
