Wow, this is an interesting way to advertise South Carolina with our tax dollars. Why would we want to target people based on their sexual habits?

Fourteen Million Dollars($14,000,000.00)
What the heck?
Follow the money on this one and I'll bet not all the money is going to lure the Gay Boys in.
Hey, you might be surprised how many Gay Girls there are too!! To remain Politically Correct(gag) nowadays, you should be inclusive so as not to hurt anyone's feelings...
Yall dont have to be so rude.
Wake up and smell the coffee folks. This is 2008, and while we may still be in the bible belt, there are gays here too. Those of you who are upset about this are the same people who would have been upset if we were to spend money trying to get tourism out of Africa in the 1800's. But I bet you wouldn't have complained if the money were spent in Jerusalem, or in the Vatican City.
And you want to know why it cost so much? Maybe its because the ads were run in Europe, where the dollar is just about worthless.
...not trying to be judgmental. It just sounds very fishy when the Govendevelopnor is spending $14,000,000.00 when by the Govendevelopnor's own account the State of South Carolina is projected to have a budget shortfall.

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- The South Carolina Board of Economic Advisors will meet Thursday to review tax collections and other revenue.
With sales tax collections falling behind expectations, the board has repeatedly reduced its estimates and prompted budget writers to try to cut spending.
Gov. Mark Sanford said last week he expects the shortfall to wipe out one of the state's rainy day reserve funds by the end of the year.

Why should we market to someone based on how they have sex. What's next all doggie stylers come to SC?
It rude and crude. Unlike SC in my opinion.
I think the ACLU should get in on this. Why be homosexually exclusive?
Lessee, now. There are liars. "SC is a lying state." Oh, and thieves. "SC is a stealing state." And how about those unfaithful spouses. Lots of them. "SC is an adulterous state." And...well, you get the idea. Hopefully, I don't have to go down the entire list.
2008, indeed!
