Resignation
I have thoroughly enjoyed the banter here for the last 4 years or so, it has truly been fun. I was chastised earlier and told that I and another blogger needed to cut out our 1 on 1 confrontations or we would be banned. Well, I am banning myself! I've never dealt well with being threatened and it is no different now. I do not allow my integrity to be questioned...ever, and that hasn't changed either. It is time for me to take my entertaining butt outta here and move on to bigger and better places. I will leave this blog to the venomous ravings of local29902, localshrimp, and KTOGP32 (or whomever assumes those identities) and they can ravage this blog without my counterpoint. Let them lie about anyone they wish, I don't care anymore. Maybe one or more of you can find the courage to hold their feet ot the fire, and if not, oh well!
I will still be at the Blixxer on Saturday, but that's it. Many of you have become friends to me, and I cherish that. I will always hold you and and your opinions in the highest regard. I will miss you here, but I will also try to maintain a friendship with you elsewhere.
LS, L2, and KT, it's all yours, f--k it up all you wish! I'm gone!

Real men leave without a farewell speech.
BTW, you were easy.
RU nuts? What are you thinking? Scooter had your tail at every turn and you think he's less than a man for saying goodbye to us. What a wimp you are, all you had to do was stand up and face him like a real person like he asked. At least he always did that to everyone. He called you a coward but I think he was being nice, you are much less than that. The word punk comes to mind!
cutting off your nose to spite you face... Who are we left with when the bloggers like you leave??? Think about the ones who well, are on here for other reasons than those of the bloggers who are nusiences to us...
Don't leave us...
I stopped posting here and stopped reading the blogs (on a daily basis) a few months back. I now visit once or twice a week but mainly to read. The reason is simple. For the most part, this is not a friendly atmosphere. I am not pointing fingers or naming names, but there are some that thrive on insulting others, name calling, and picking a fight because they disagree with another person. There are ways to disagree respectfully. I have seen it here, but not often.
Maybe just take a cooling off break and then come back. :) Will ya just think about it, TGS?

Freedom of speech is being able to speak freely without censorship.
The synonymous term "freedom of expression" is sometimes preferred, since the right is not confined to verbal speech but is understood to protect any act of seeking, receiving and imparting information or ideas, regardless of the medium used.
1. Free speech promotes "The free flow of ideas essential to political democracy and democratic institutions" and limits the ability of the state to subvert other rights and freedoms
2. It promotes a marketplace of ideas, which includes, but is not limited to, the search for truth
3. It is intrinsically valuable as part of the self-actualization of speakers and listeners
4. It is justified by the dangers for good government of allowing its suppression.
Some suggest that when citizens refrain from voicing their discontent because they fear retribution, the government can no longer be responsive to them, thus it is less accountable for its actions. Defenders of free speech often allege that this is the main reason why governments suppress free speech – to avoid accountability.
TOPGUNSCOOTER, DON'T EVER GIVE UP ..."Freedom of Speech or Expression" to anyone!
The blog rules do not suppress free speech. One can express ideas and debate ideas freely. We do have freedom of speech in the blogs. In fact, this electronic innovation has made freedom of speech much easier for most of us in expressing different views.
However the blog rules do require civility and good manners. There is no reason that people have to resort to personal attacks and name calling to debate. Even in the congress or political debates on TV, good manners and civility is expected, but they can express their ideas and debate. We've seen examples in other nations where personal attacks turn into fist fights. Sad and yet funny at the same time.
In a court room, debates occur constantly. The attorneys are attacking evidence, not personalities. A personal attack in a court room will make the judge immediately impose a penalty. Sometimes the defendant will have his personality brought up, but it will still be done in a civil manner.
In any debate, a rule is to attack the idea, not the person. Usually personal attacks will result in a barroom brawl. Not the best example of "civilized" people.

You and I often disagreed but I always enjoyed your input. Help fight illiteracy and ignorance in the lowcountry by sticking around. Don't let a few ruin it for the many. And besides they've probably spent their life motoring around on 4 wheels and just don't know any better.
Take care.
Take a break and come back. We need your knowledge and input. Remember freedom of speech.
