Since baseball began in this country on a military compound with adult players maybe it needs to go back to one for space. Does Parris Island have a suitable field?

What about that field that is a few streets over from basil green? I can't remember the name of the street. I don't think anyone uses it.

The field near Basil Greene Park is called Mets Field. It doesn't have lights and the bases may not be regulation and I don't know if the field would be big enough to play baseball, but it is owned by PALS. Anyone can call them at 470-6200

I had the same problem a few years back with a youth travel team. The only place we could find was the old Burton Wells field when softball was not using it. That is quite a trip from Port Royal though.

A closer place would be the field at Praise Assembly if you could talk their members into letting you use it. As far as I know no one is using that field.

I laughed as I read this! It was really stupid, in my humble opinion, for Beafort County to have moved its Port Royal Senior Center out to Burton Wells. As you say, "quite a trip from Port Royal though".
