OK folks- 'original' UCB was 'undercoverbrother.'
The 'new' UCB is '_undercoverbrother."
I think that the new fake UCB is Blueline registered under a new nic.
The 'new' UCB argues his point alot - the old UCB NEVER used to engage in such droll efforts as trying to make a point . .. .

...it's interesting that when you run out of things to say you start a thread about UCB. It's really amazing. Blueline tried it. Tiger85 has done it. Even Topgunscooter and others did it way back when.
Now, I am glad to see that you are in such fine company as Blueline.
I thought making fun of a bloggers name was cause for the exit door (Fake_UCB).
Why have the powers that be allowed this to continue?
Is this the Ethics Commission where it depends on what is is?

Actually, I don't think there is anything mean spirited here, nor is there name calling, nor is there derision, merely comment, which within the bounds of reason is permitted.
I was just noticing a difference in style, syntax, vernacular and use of language, thats all. And, for the record, I was not making fun of him [her?]. There is that angle too . . . .
The blogger who spells their name _undercoverbrother had their first post on March 20, 2008. I know we've seen blogs by undercoverbrother longer than two months ago. . . were they all deleted?
The 'other' undercoverbrother, without the underline, well, I can't find that one - was it deleted?
Makes me wonder -thats all. Personally, I'm just curious what happened there. From a blogging perspective, I guess it does not matter much.
Your argument sounds ok to me, if I was the ethics commission.
So I guess we have to let you go and promise never to bother you again about this.
Maybe you will get several days of front page stories (stories is the operative word there) filled with who knows what about how you really did nothing as decided by no one.
oh, I have lots of history, the front page would have no problem finding stories if I were a political figure. . .
Following your assumption, on March 15th in Blueline's blog entitled "Undercover Brother...Not Playing Well in the Sandbox" either _undercoverbrother was arguing with himself or he's the real _undercoverbrother and you just never noticed the "underline." _undercoverbrother is the one who was concerned with the Calverts and the "suicide" of their--well now what--he's their embezzler? Start a blog about the inefficiency of the BCSO and truth will come to light if you still have questions.

BTW, I have never argued with myself on this blog. There is a plethora of material and people in Beaufort to argue about and with in Beaufort.

I was trying to show that you were not blueline and _ucb because you would have been arguing with yourself in the March 15th blog.
I know you know that you sometimes get a little wordy when the BCSO does something "ineffective." I usually agree with you except I tend more to the adjective "corrupted" when referring to that entity.

I personally think that both incarnations of UCB are the same person. The first post I could find from _UCB was March 20 and the last from UCB was April 18. During that overlapping period, both were posting regularly. The Calvert posts are mostly from _UCB but we didn't notice. There are some things about UCB that I like (and others that I have have difficulty with) so I thought I might try to help figure all of this identity thing out.
As I said, I believe that both user names belong to the same individual... almost. I agree with Joe that there are slight differences in the writing styles and _UCB seems to be more willing to debate. I submit: each UCB is one of the personalities that reside in the real person who has never identified himself here. I'm not certain that they are even acquainted with each other. Perhaps the UCB host is off his meds and the two personalities are vying for control of the host. This would explain the differences we have noticed, and it's a very common condition these days. Nothing at all to be ashamed of and it actually gives the host many advantages. You simply blame the other personality! I actually find myself looking forward to reading what they both post.
The whole thing seems to be bothersome to a few folks here but I think I may have a solution. UCB and _UCB, why not be good fellows and show some compassion for your blogging brethren. How about both of you asking your host to reveal his true identity here and verify the existence of you both? You could then blog away in the secure knowledge that nobody would ever question your legitimacy again!
HeHe, now we just have to hope that they will argue about this until one of them gets angry enough to drag the real identity in here!
they'll have to bring along Jungleball, Anonymous and _anonymous as I suspect these were all earlier incarnations of UCB that left either when they embarrassed themselves or were banned. Jungleball is still posting at the Island Packet site and strangely enough he posts the same things UCB does here. If you'll recall, Jungleball is the one who used to post all those arrest records about one man over and over. If I'm not mistaken, Anjil used to really get after him about that as I think she was acquainted with that person. MHammett and Jungleball used to go at it pretty regularly also. It is curious indeed.

I didn't say that my suspicion was limited to just two personalities. You may well be correct, I've heard stories of many personalities inhabiting a single host. They don't have to be of the same gender either.
I've often wondered if UCB wasn't a sister posing as a brother to throw off suspicion as to her real identity. Hmmmmmm, you may be on to something.
I think ALL of you are Jim Cato, with the possible exception of scnative. :^D

If you are searching through the tracker (recent posts) and look at page 12 that is where "_undercoverbrother" starts posting blogs. And on page 13 you can see blogs posted by "undercoverbrother". Strange?
