Moon's morning work out.

Well I had a hard time getting to the gym during the afternoons so this morning I shook things up and I got myself up an hour earlier and I was in the gym about 5:30 this morning. I say my team mate Jack as well. He is looking good too. Keep up the good work Jack. I put in a good cardio work out, but I look forward to getting with Darth Kip too. I believe we are doing pictures and weighins tonight. Until the next one ... We can't just watch our weight but we have to do something about it.


It's a BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes we finally have our new addition to the Moon Clan. A Bouncin Baby Boy! We named him Darmaine a combo of our names (Derrick & Charmaine). He was 5lb. 10oz., 19 inches long with a head so hairy it is covering his forehead. My wife has had the procedure to ensure we won't have anymore. So I guess that's it. He was born on Saturday about 6 pm. We are excited and glad not to be expecting any longer. I have been dilegent with my eating habits. 5 small meals a day, but I need to get back in the gym it's been a wild weekend. My sweetie comes home tomorrow and I can't wait. Plus these kids are driving me up the wall! I know Darth Kip is going to stretch me out come Wednesday when I get back int he gym. Oh well no pain - no gain.

Just when you thought you were good friens with your trainer, BAM they take you to the dark side. Yes ladies and gents the gloves are off and My Trainer who will be hence forth known as "Darth Kip" or DK for short, has official taken me to the next level. Since Friday we have started on some type of Cross Trainer work out which is an absolutely insane combo of cardio & resistance training. I was truly put through the paces on Friday then back at it again on this past Monday. I can truly say I felt the BURN. A sore and tired man I was when I crept back into the gym on yesterday to work on my cardio.


Battle of the Buldge - Phase 2 for D. Moon

Well my trainer Kip says that I am in pretty good shape judging by my heart rate during today's workout. Good News huh? I thought so too until he said that it only means that he can step it up a bit with me. We did add more wieght during the resistance exercise today. Needless to say that I was feeling the burn today. I usually make it into the Gym in the early afternoon hours and the place is pretty quiet. I like it like that. I can think and my mind is not focused on the workout. That usually helps me to go longer on different exercise machines like the treadmill or cycle. I would love to go in the pre dawn hours but my schedule won't allow it. Kip is a true motivator and he helps out greatly with simple casual conversation. Overall it was an excellent work out with the progression that I expected. We will deal with a detail talk on nutrition for me tomorrow. I believe that I will do a little work with the free weights during my independent workout tomorrow. Kip did say that the entire group is doing very well with the work as well as our enthusiasm. I plan to try to catch on of those Spin classes soon. In case you guys didn't know, Bryan is a bit of a gym rat his self. We shared the crunch machine last night. I held back a little I didn't want to make him feel bad. LOL :-)


A Good Weekend for D. Moon

I had an excellent weekend. All of my little nieces and nephews were over, about 12 in all with my 4 they totaled 16. We spent Saturday in the Park on St. Helena. We Played a couple of games of basketball with the big ones. We ran around on the play ground with the little ones, then we took the whole group on the grassy outfield of the little league field and played a couple of games of kickball. Needless to say that was all the exercise that my body could handle. I lit up the grill when we got to the house and fixed tuna sald and bbq burgers with chips for the kids and I had a Turkey Kelbasa sausage for myself and I found a very nice piece of Salmon to put on the grill as well.


Bustin Da Buldge w/ D. Moon

Well I finally got it off the ground with this work out thing. I met with Kip, yes Happy and I have the same trainer and our begining work out has been pretty much the same. I am sure that will change as we get more into it and tailor our work outs according to our needs. I really enjoy Kip as a trainer. I am due bak in the Gym tomorrow afternoon. I went to the grocery store today and purchased a bunch of healthy choice meals and a gang of fish. I am totally cutting out the red meats, the salt, sweets, white rice, potatoes, etc., etc. I have found out that I am diebetic so my diet has to go through a major overhaul.

God Bless Everyone! I am fired up and ready to go. I am already a winner because I am at the crossroads of a major change in my life.
