So, why is it 5:30 and there is still no news up for Tuesday?

About a week before the SC primary in January, I decided that I should go down and register to vote. I knew that I wouldnt be able to vote in either of our primaries because I waited too long to register. Like I said, I registered in EARLY January, as in just about the first week or so. I JUST got my card in the mail today. I was told it would take 2-4 weeks to get my card. Here it is about 9 weeks later and it comes in. I would have gone down there to complian, but I honestly do not have the time.

I recently created a poll on here to see what people thought about the wal mart, a yes or no vote. But for some reason it doesnt stay up with the blog post and people are having trouble tracking it to get the results, so I decided to create an actual blog with a link to the poll to make it easier on everybody else. I want to get an accurate account as possible, so this means I need everybody's vote, so please vote. And if for some reason, you are able to vote more than once, PLEASE DO NOT. I dont know if you can, but please dont if theres some kind of loop hole.

WTOC is reporting a major explosion at the Dixie Crystal sugar refinery in Port Wentworth at 7:30 that was felt as far away as Levy, SC. Injuries are estimated in the hundreds, as there was a full staff working at the time. Triage centers have been set up in a school and a church near the plant, and they are talking about evacuating residents that live near by. Helicopters are medivacing people out as fast as they can and I have heard that Beaufort County EMS is even responding, as well as far away as Hinesville. Police are urging people to stay clear of the area also.

Mitt Romney has called his own company Bain Captial, "one of the nation's most successful venture capital and investment companies." He is proud of his company as any company founder should. However this presents one problem. This man is proud of his company... This is the same company that is working with a Chinese Defense contractor. He is financing them to buy an American Defense contracting company 3Com. 3Com provides equiptment used by the Pentagon to block hackers and keep them out of our computers. This brings one two problems... The first is obvious.

Well, 15 minutes after I called it for McCain, Fox News called the race for McCain.

"I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution. But I believe it’s a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living God. And that’s what we need to do is amend the Constitution so it’s in God’s standards rather than trying to change God’s standards so it lines up with some contemporary view of how we treat each other and how we treat the family."

Nevermind separation of church and state, lets just throw out the constitution and run the country with the bible!

Most of you probably don’t know how much I love Presidential elections, probably because I was still pretty young the last time we had one. November of 2004 I was 16, and not old enough to vote, but I followed it very closely. I had a very strong opinion of who I wanted to win, and wasn't afraid to voice it.

I heard on WTOC last night that there is a push in Columbia to make English the official language of South Carolina, since its not making progress at the Federal level. I'm suprised I havent heard a buzz about this going on around here on this blog? Has anybody else heard this??

My fiance and I bought a computer through dell way back earlier in the year when they had the tax free weekend, so there was no tax on the computer.
