Lance, Dan, Brandon and Buddy talk about the new Beaufort Academy basketball coach and how there has been a shuffling of skippers around the Lowcountry. Osprey Legion baseball also comes up and discussion about the "Year to Remember" issue ensues on who The Sports Guys may have left out of the honorable mention.
They also touch on the NBA Playoffs and that one sport where people use sticks to knock around a black rubber thing around an arena of ice ... oh yeah, hockey.

ABSURDITY AT ITS BEST
Submitted by dworthington on Sun, 2008-05-18 10:27.Yahoo's daily buzz usually has interesting stories at the top of its Web site. I check the site daily.
But this morning, I watched a video, which left me speechless.
A little league player in Massachusetts was suspended two games but not for something he did, something his mother didn't do.
The child's mother was stuck at work and was unable to make her shift to run the concession stand. According to league rules, the kid sits.

A tainted title: Should Legree hold gold?
Submitted by dworthington on Wed, 2008-05-14 20:04.After many phone calls to people I didn't even know, I had done it.
When I began my quest, I was making phone calls to people I wasn't even sure about who I was actually trying to reach.
But a message today left me with the one number I wanted. And I was hoping it was 10 digits that would lead to some hardware changing hands.
But the ending I was hoping for has fizzled.
Last Saturday night, while sitting at my desk, I told my coworkers I would have gold in Jimmy Legree's hands by the end of the week. Well, my time's running out and so are my options.

Each week, Lance Hanlin, Buddy Hughes, Brandon Parker and myself (Dan Worthington) will review and preview the week in Beaufort County sports. The first episode touches on Mona Lise Dickson stepping down at Beaufort High, the soccer playoffs, the state track meet and the recent Beaufort Academy resignations.
