Has anybody been downtown today? On Bay Street in front of the clock they are loading the carriages. I think they moved them because of the Gullah Festival. Could they have found a higher traffic area downtown? I went to Plums and had to push my way through. If I was a lawyer, i would be spending some time down there as that is an accident waiting to happen.

I often hear people complaining about the lack of parking spaces downtown and the need for a parking garage. The problem with the parking is that too many business owners and their workers are taking the prime parking spaces on Bay Street. Examples of this are: Luthers--Stretch and his Mother are always on Bay Street: Plums--many of their workers are parking all day on Bay; Kathleens-- look for the red pick up truck along with many other employees. These are a few examples, I could name many more lazy people.

On Friday night there was an 'ART WALK' downtown. Every where I looked I saw patrons strolling around with glasses of wine. I think that it is great to see all the people but I think it is bad to see the violations of the law. I believe there is a law against being in a public area with an open container of alcohol. I am not opposed to drinking, but I feel if the law is enforced against one person, then it should be enforced against all.
Where was the police? Where was the 'street preachers'?
