Am I the only person seeing yesterdays paper online? Just wondering.

You are not alone..most of its yesterdays.
There was a technical problem overnight. All of the local news, sports and features were processed for the Web, but the pages did not refresh to show today's content. Most pages have been fixed at this point, and we're tracking down the rest.

How old are you forrest? Just wondering because either you are an old ornery man or a middle aged dork that needs to get ****. Every post you seem to have the need to be condiscending or just plain rude. I simply was curious because I left my computer on all night and wanted to make sure there was nothing wrong with it or my connection. I'm not technically inclined when it comes to computers, so sue me.
Forrest is a joy to have here @ the BG blog. It would seem you are the rude one. Perhaps you'd fit in at the IP blog.
Usually when he starts the post he is not rude. However when he feels he is superior or doesn't agree he is condiscending as hell. My point was why does he feel the need to do this when he was not provoked in any way, which he does regularly. I agree and disagree with his comments but I usually try to respond respectfully. However this time he talked down to me, I decided to be as rude as he was.
When I read your post, I had another in mind, but then I scrolled up and saw you were speaking of Forrest. Anjil, Forrest's post was not even in response to yours. Don't take it personally.

By the way, I wondered what was wrong with the paper as well. I get the paper on the weekends, so when I logged on yesterday, I had already read Sunday's paper. It was a little annoying not to have the current paper with my latte. Tradition you know
is the first part was regarding that I was whining about not having the current news. and as always he put it in one of his quirky little stories. Which are always amusing. The last part was telling bdearth2 that people are never happy with anything. If I am wrong i'm sorry but forrests stories are sometimes a little difficult to interpret. He has been rude and ugly in past post though and they were straight foreword and not hard to miss.
So what if Forrest or anyone else states an opinion, or if they allow their personality to show in their blogs. That's what makes blogging a thing of interest. According to Webster's Dictionary such behavior seems to be the norm:

And on a personal note could care less about your opinion. Besides he was condiscending. I accept rhat he has an opinion and I like to read and know others opinions(except yours). Get a life scooter.
Forest has his own way of posting and it is unique, sometimes witty and to the point. None of us likes personal attacks and some people's posts do come close. Besides, he says he lives on St Helena Island and anybody living here has to be ok. Suggest you be more tolerant and if you don't care for his posts, simply ignore them.
That living on St helena qualifies you as being ok. Come live next to my neighbors will prove that wrong.Come on over for dinner and entertainment(the neighbors).:)
I'm glad you accept his opinion. And it's OK if you don't, that sort of thing should be anyone's choice. It's also ok with me if you don't like my opinions, that too should be your choice. Opinions are nothing more than personal perceptions of the things people encounter in life and they vary greatly. I don't think there is a rule anywhere that says we have to agree on everything or even like what the other person is about or has to say. As for knowing me, you have me at a disadvantage, my username makes it pretty obvious who I am and I like it that way. I have no idea who you are but I totally respect your right to state your ideas and opinions here the same as I do anyone elses. I suppose that was the original point I was trying to make and I'm truly sorry if my comments upset your sensibilities.
Do you mean that even if we don't like their personality that we aren't allowed to subject them to a life of damnation and persecution? That seems so unfair.
To whom it may concern - I like to read forrest's posts and find them extremely fascinating & to the point, he is very outspoken and he has the right to free speech as we all do [ within reason ] he has been posting alot longer than many of us and gets more reads than most - that speaks for itself. this is only my personal opinion, although it would be interesting to hear more others views on his posts etc.
enjoy reading most of his posts. Just because he has the freesom to say or right something does not make it right. He does not have to be condiscending to get his opinion across. I enjoy a debate or exchange of ideas or opinions but I do not enjoy being talked down to. And as I have stated I may have misunderstood the meaning or direction of his post and have opologized if i had.
the BG deletes his nasty stuff. Who can forget his attack on Happy?
He is one of those AFRAID types. The world is changing rapidly and they never quite fit in the slot they thought was theirs. He is AFRAID of many things and many people.
There are people keeping an eye on him. Hopefully he will not take a high dive in his shallow pool anytime soon.

no need to be rude drkchklate. That was my point in my first response to him on this blog. We do not have to make mean and ugly remarks to get our point across. Let's not stoop to his level. I did a little at first and regretted it the second I posted it. I am not one to belittle other people. But I do understand the feeling behind your remark. :)

You obviously don't catch many of drk's posts; he's nearly always nasty.

mr forrest has someone at the paper in his pocket. they erased my new blog because i insulted him a bit. didn't use any curse words nor did i directly call him a name. interesting though wonder who it is?they'll probably erase this too.I guess they have their favorite bloggers.
probably responded in a way you can't imagine. They don't mince words. Watch out. They are not NICE!
Any new blogs that are started that serve only to attack, insult or demean a fellow blogger (like anjil29920's did) are deleted, even if no obscenities are used. All blogs that are started that focus on issues or ideas, be they local, national or international in scope, are welcomed and encouraged.
We'd like to keep this forum a place where people feel free to express their opinions without being attacked.
And we don't play favorites. We don't know who you guys are either. And as Forrest can probably tell you, he's seen a few of his posts disappear as well.
We don't like to delete posts, and we rarely do. All we ask is that you keep the discussion clean and civil.

Oh Yeah! Sorry to see that he let anjil29920 "loosen up her buttons". Pay attention to how forrest hides his intention. Become a character. It is so southern. And so accepted.

Mr. Dearth, I could not agree with you more this is a good forum & there are many wonderful bloggers on here { including the infamous Forrest } but we all get a bit unruly at times when a subject or comment hits that special nerve. I think the Beaufort Gazette blogs are informative to all our citizens in many ways - i have been schooled myself & i have been here for 31 years and know alot of stuff if you know what i mean LOL....... keep up the great work !!!!!!

Actually, Joe, yesterday you had tomorrow's news here in Beaufort. The print addition for Monday September 18th was incorrectly dated September 19th. But the news was the same old same old.
